Kitchen: Completely gutted. Removed part of the wall to open the space to the living room/dining area, moved the stove and gas line to the opposite side of the kitchen, and moved the sink several ft. The kitchen was now over 18 ft of useable cabinet and counter space.

Living room/dining area: The wood floors were re-done, electric was added in order to be able to install a dining room light fixture. A cieling beam was also removed which then made the living room look much longer.
